What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I like the feeling of accomplishment in helping a young student succeed in their goals. I find the process of getting to know a student and form a personal connection, and then watching them grow and improve a rewarding experience.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I was always frustrated when teachers explained things in a way I just couldn't understand. When I struggled with this is would try and find my own innovative ways to relate concepts to my previous experience so that I could really understand what I was being taught. I can provide this experience for students without all the trouble of them figuring it out themselves. With the personal nature of one-to-one teaching, I can really personalize the content to their specific understanding. I am also kind and patient and always teach at a pace that the student feels comfortable with.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important goal as a tutor is to create a positive environment for a student. Being patient, understanding and maintaining a positive attitude has a wide array of benefits, including learning. Second to this is the ability to help a student gain an instinctive understanding of the concept manner. More than just helping with specific problems it's important to explain the why and the how of what they are doing so that when those difficult situations come up, or when the need these skills later in life a student will be fully equipped to deal with that.
