What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Firstly, I truly enjoy seeing the improvements of my students. For example, I feel strong sense of achievement when my students come to me with their improved/higher grades or tell me how their teachers gave feedbacks on their improvements. Secondly, tutoring gives me opportunity to look back on my knowledge and polish it. As I prepare my tutoring materials and explanations, I get to dig deeper into the concepts from the perspectives that I haven't seen before. I get to learn together with my students.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my unique strength as a tutor is that I'm competent at explaining concepts not just on the surface/mechanical level, but from the core which leaves long-lasting and deep understandings for students. Moreover, I believe in quality over quantity so, I prepare my materials in the most effective and efficient ways. My previous students claimed that my presentations and sheets are simple yet always on point and easy to remember. Last but not least, I'm a fun person to have as a tutor. I sometimes use fun and unique examples to make students feel more relaxed and freshened up.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

My maths teacher always said that giving students 'a spark in their chest to learn' was the most valuable thing that a teacher could give to students. I absolutely agree. I was once a student who only studied because I knew that had to but, I had several teachers in my high school & university that gave me a spark and passion to LEARN rather than just study. Since then, I try as much as I can to give that spark to my students. I know I'm doing it correctly when I see that lightbulb moment in the eyes of my students. Hence, giving students a will to learn rather than just study is my priority.
