My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Having completed the HSC last year, I am familiar with its content and structure. I participated in many pastoral care programs run through my school and have learnt different ways to study and what not to do. I am dedicated, hardworking and supportive, and am keen to help others and see them succeed. I am effective at constructive feedback as I don’t dwell on the past but focus on the future and what can be done to improve. I can be a perfectionist, however I think it is important for the students to clearly understand what they have done wrong, therefore attention to detail is crucial.

As a tutor it is important to support the student. It is important to be able to explain concepts in a variety of ways in order for the student to understand, and enable them to set achievable goals in order to boost their confidence in their own knowledge. It is also key to provide constructive feedback in a friendly, non-aggressive and supportive environment.
