What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Being able to practice my individual differentiation teaching skills and employ new strategies that I have learned in my Masters in Teaching degree and work experience in predominately public schools with experience with the Stage 5 Core and Advanced and HSC curriculmns. I like seeing the visible and measurable progress my students make in the topics they learned in mathematics. This can be in the form of past exam questions such as HSC, using school digital resources and finding out which part of the curriculum the student needs to understand.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths are being flexible and using various physical and digital tools to help explain concepts and help students see their progress in learning. I am also a qualified high and UTS Masters maths teacher so I understand the concerns students may have, particularly the changes in the new curriculum for mathematics for Year 7 to Year 12.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Being understanding of the student's needs is the duty of the tutor and do your best to improve the student's understanding of school subjects. The tutor needs to be flexible for the student's needs and make adjusts to their timetable and their needs to adjust the homework, as well as the teaching styles so students learn the content. Which means digitising the maths taught in the session where possible. This means students need more structured digital learning tools to facilitate more visual learning and more dynamic closed passage and intuitive activities to help students understand what they do not know and diagnose what prerequisite topics they need to master
