What I enjoy most about tutoring is independence. In being a tutor, independence helps me to develop my problem solving, decision making and time management skills. Aside from independence, connections made with students and peers from tutoring enable me to learn different perspectives about life and how to approach different situations.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor include my attention to detail skills and understanding of the world of children and teenagers. I have been working on various projects with people from different group of ages. When I was doing a group project, I tend to listen carefully to all discussed things related and unrelated to the project. This helps me better prepare discussion notes and catch some details that may be missed out or need some adjustments. There was a time when I was doing a group project about data visualisation. Our group achieved a high distinction mark on this project as we managed to analyMost important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do include putting themselves into the student’s position, communicating properly with the student, and motivating students. When a tutor puts themselves into the student’s position, they understand what it means to deliver a good learning experience. Communicating properly with the student is important as tutors must be able to adjust to the students’ needs so that tutors can not only help the students academically, but also socially and mentally.
