What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy connecting with the student and finding an algorithm that suits their needs and understanding. Not everybody thinks the same way so it is important to connect with the student to better understand the way they think and problem solve.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a very patient person. I understand that learning is a process and it may take a while for others. With that, I am a good listener to the student's needs and what they are asking for help with. As a tutor, I think a good approach is to guide the student rather than tell them what to do. This way they are learning by their own thoughts rather than me telling them what the process is.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As a tutor, I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to be patient and kind. Math is a hard subject for some to learn and it may take a while for the student to understand. And it is important to understand how the student thinks and how they approach the problem. It is also important that if they are going down the wrong path, redirect them and also reassure them that they will understand the problem in time. I think it is important to keep a good attitude and not to let the student feel alone in the situation.
