What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
It’s the thought process of students that I enjoy. Understanding how unique one’s thought process can be is really satisfying as it enhances the teaching experience and carrying this onto future students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have been to multiple coaching centres since Kindergarten and I have realised that all of it was futile and I didn’t benefit from any of them. From this experience, I’m able to avoid any teaching strategies that I’ve personally encountered as a student. Executing relevant materials concisely is the main thing and I believe I am highly capable of doing this, given the mentoring lessons will be provided.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Support. Providing a great amount of support and motivation is crucial for a student’s education path. Without this, a lack of drive would occur which is detrimental to their learning, ultimately affecting their peers around them which acts like the domino effect.

Lachlan performed well on the networks topic test, scoring 50% on multiple-choice questions and an impressive 90% on short-answer and extended-response questions, resulting in an overall score of 79%. This is a strong result, especially as he completed the test within the 30-minute time limit while maintaining accuracy and precision. His performance demonstrates a solid understanding of network concepts and the ability to work effectively under time pressure.
Lachlan had minor difficulties in distinguishing between different types of sequences, such as walks, paths, trails, and cycles and applying these concepts to networks. Additionally, he made a few silly mistakes, which he later recognised during our review of the test. Addressing these areas will further strengthen his grasp of the material.

Lachlan has made excellent progress in this topic. He can confidently construct tables from network graphs and interpret them to draw diagrams. Lachlan is able to distinguish between isomorphic shapes and accurately draw connected and disconnected graphs when given weighted vertices and edges. He was also able to apply his understanding of networks and weighted graphs to real-world application questions, showing his solid grasp of the material.
Lachlan should continue practicing network-related questions, particularly under timed conditions, to enhance confidence and maintain momentum for his upcoming topic test on networks.

Lachlan demonstrated excellent understanding and reasoning skills during the session. He correctly answered all the questions I gave on connector problems and applied appropriate logic when evaluating pathways. He consistently considers all relevant units and critically compares pathways to identify the smallest one. Lachlan has shown confidence in networks over the past few weeks. He effectively applies his knowledge to both theoretical and complex real-world application problems.
To maintain his accuracy and momentum, Lachlan should continue practicing connector problems, including solving minimum spanning tree questions using Prim's and Kruskal's methods. To prepare for exam conditions, he should also begin practicing these questions under timed restraints.

Lachlan has a good understanding of networks and is able to apply it to application questions involving minimum spanning trees. Lachlan understands all basic concepts of networks e.g. weighted, directed, undirected and degrees. He was also able to reiterate and apply the Kruskal and Prim's algorithm when solving the minimum spanning trees questions.
When finding the minimum length, Lachlan sometimes misses the smallest values. However, he picks up on this mistake instantly.
