What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I love tutoring because nothing pleases me more than the lit up expressions of delight in my students when they finally understand a concept we had been muling over for quite a while. I also enjoy getting to know my students, understanding their whole person in order to best tailor my approach to guide their learning.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am a very patient tutor because I understand what its like for students to not be able to grasp difficult concepts in just the first try. I've had my own weaknesses as a student so I can relate to the students I tutor because I've been there and I know first-hand what its like to keep trying and trying in order to understand something that may come easily to others. In order to facilitate in depth understanding, I often reiterate my explanations multiple ways so my students are able to grasp the concepts and we go through many practice examples until they are very confident in the material.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe that as a tutor, the most important thing that I can do for a student is to help them cultivate confidence within themselves and their abilities. I believe better and improved results will only be in fruition once my students are confident in themselves and have a heightened awareness of the necessity for self-belief. More than anything, a tutor should be a mentor that they can trust, who will guide them with any questions regarding academic achievements, resilience in studying and assist them in organising themselves to equip them with the skills to achieve their potential.
