What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy making a difference in students' lives and seeing them have their "light-bulb" moments when they begin to understand concepts. I also enjoy working with students on concepts they find challenging as it also allows me to gain a deeper understanding of the matter and thus further develop my own knowledge.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am friendly, have knowledge of the APSTs and Victorian Curriculum due to my degree, and have experience teaching in a classroom. Likewise, I am passionate about learning and have a significant interest in both Health and Humanities. I am patient and willing to spend time on topics to ensure my students are getting the most out of their lessons and consolidating their understanding of areas of concern. I am also someone who is organised and on time, and able to use technology without issue. This makes for a much smoother tutoring experience due to no technical or organisational difficulties.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

A tutor is someone who can help to support and strengthen students' self-efficacy one-on-one. This is extremely important as classroom teachers have to manage multiple students in a classroom and cannot provide the same undivided attention as a tutor can. Tutors instil confidence in their students, assist them in unpacking and understanding areas of concern and thus allow them to achieve their best whilst doing so. They work in conjunction with classroom teachers - albeit outside classroom settings and hours - to ensure students are able to get the most out of their education.
