What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I find it rewarding to help students recognise their own strengths and build their confidence in their ability to learn, especially when they are being met with challenges. I enjoy being able to share my knowledge and use my skills to empower students in identifying and reaching their life/learning goals.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have a gentle approach and am always mindful of delivering feedback constructively and with encouragement to the student. Excellent problem-solving, literacy and numeracy levels, as demonstrated by achieving high grades in my own studies. I am known for my attention to detail and have received throughout my career, recognition of my strong written and verbal communication skills. Having life experience - including working overseas and interstate, in research and as a student advisor to University students - which perhaps enables me to provide some context as to what studies can lead to.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Provide comprehensive and detailed feedback with a lot of encouragement to motivate the student in their learning efforts. A student will 'hear' the lesson much more clearly if they are provided it with a patient approach that acknowledges their strengths and the efforts they are making as well as any constructive guidance you provide them. Providing them with encouragement cannot be understated!
