What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I find that the most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is helping students to gain confidence in their own abilities. Through tutoring, I am not only able to help students complete their schoolwork but teach them long term strategies to improve their studies. I find it highly rewarding and exciting to see students improve and feel proud of their achievements.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe that my greatest strength as a tutor is patience. I am happy to take as much time as needed in order to make sure my students have properly understood what they have been taught. I also think that my flexibility as a teacher is a strength. When a student has trouble understanding a concept, I try to vary my approach to teaching in a way that suits them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that teaching students how to become a more independent learner is the most important thing that a tutor can do. As a tutor, it is important to help guide students through their work but not become a crutch that they rely too heavily upon. This way, students will be better equipped to handle the rest of their time at school. Helping students to become more independent learners allows for a greater feeling of accomplishment when students meet their goals. This is important, as I believe that the most effective motivation for students comes from internal motivators not external ones.
