What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I got the inspiration to become a tutor from many students of lower year levels of my previous school asking me questions both academic wise and about stress-coping. I indeed enjoy the feeling of knowing something well enough to provide other people with advice on it.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Frankly speaking, I believe that I was a good student back in high school, as well as a good teacher right now. In the intensive year 12, I developed effective and efficient studying methods that I am more than willing to share with the students. Another compulsory skill of becoming a good is the ability to organise and communicate. With experiences in school leadership, such as year level representative and club captain, I developed abilities in keeping on schedule, organising content and communicating with peers as well as teachers.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most crucial things a tutor should have are:
First, the tutor's own capability to solve the questions, to organise their time and to work under pressure.
Second, to become a good tutor, a person has to be able to communicate and convey their ideas fully while being able to listen and understand what is in the student's mind.
Last but not least is the patience of the tutor to teach students with different levels of capabilities, knowing the capability of the students and adjusting the teaching accordingly.
