What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing students being able to grow their critical thinking skills and essay writing. Most of the students I tutor start off with a fixed mindset about their English capabilities, but after working with them for a while, I can see their confidence grow and their grades slowly improve. I also enjoy building relationships with my students, and seeing their moods and outlooks on education improve.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am able to adapt the way I tutor according to the students needs - I have vast amounts of experience working with neurodiverse students, including students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, etc. As most tutors don't have this experience, I am able to provide higher quality services to these students. I believe that a tutor shouldn't be perceived as a strictly authoritative figure - keeping the student engaged and building a strong relationship is a vital component in the effectiveness of the tutoring. Students - myself included - gain much more knowledge when lessons are more flexible. It usually takes me a few sessions to understand a student's learning styles, but individualising my sessions to suit a specific student's needs is the principle attribute in one-on-one tutoring - something that students miss out on in a standard classroom.Testimonials 🏆
