What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing how your work impacts the students as they begin to understand new things that have previously confused them. Seeing a student finally reach the aha moment is one of the most rewarding things, I find.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths as a tutor are having a high level of knowledge in maths and science and being able to explain these subjects in a way that is easy to understand. I am also good at explaining topics in multiple different ways which can be very helpful for a student to understand it better.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be able to understand the student and recognise what topics they understand and what they need help with. There is nothing more frustrating as a student than not understanding a topic and having a tutor or teacher repeat the same explanation over and over again. This is why it is important for a tutor to find out how the student best learns and be able to adjust explanations to suit each individual student rather than taking a 'one size fits all' approach as is commonly done in schools.
