What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I absolutely love the process of learning (not all things, mainly just maths). Being able to break down a concept in not only words but pictures and then being able to explain that concept to someone else is extremely satisfying and gratifying to me. I feel a sense of accomplishment by truly understanding said concept but also gratification by being able to pass my knowledge on to someone else who is just as passionate as I am about mathematics.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I think I can pass my passion for the subjects to whoever I’m tutoring. This is extremely useful for a number of reasons - the student will have an increased appetite to learn the content even without a tutor and it also leads to a more involved teaching position. This means that students can be more comfortable to ask questions that would otherwise be avoided. This is extremely useful as I believe that questions are the most integral part of deeply understanding even the most simple of concepts.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Make them feel comfortable enough to ask any question about any concept they don’t understand Provide the proper tools to allow the student to learn instead of spoon feeding information to them that is often completely unnecessary Concentrated one-on-one sessions leads to a more focused learning session - where as say in a classroom, the teacher must accommodate to all students at once and some may be left behind.
