My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor is my ability to make the student feel comfortable and being able to explain to students where their English needs work without making them feel stupid. I think it is important to explain to a student why something is not right, so they can understand what it is they are doing wrong, and allow the student the chance to correct their own mistakes. My weaknesses are that sometimes I am too finicky and picky over a student's work- at the end of the day, one misplaced comma is not a big deal, so long as the overall structure, logic and argument in their writing is sound.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing is for the tutor to make sure the student feels comforatble during the session. Secondly, a tutor is there is help the student find confidence within themselves within that subject, to the point where the student is willing and wants to try for themselves. I try to instil this through positive encouragement. Thirdly, to encourage a love for the subject through the tutor's own passion for the subject they are tutoring. I love English, and try to let that come across in my sessions by tutoring with enthusiasm, care and patience.
