The feeling when a student understands a concept that they found difficult to grasp is what makes tutoring so satisfying. I love seeing the 'light-bulb' moment on student's faces when they finally understand a concept they were struggling with. I know when to assist a student in their learning and understand what stage they are at in the learning process. Sometimes a student is struggling to understand a concept and I can go over it in different ways patiently. In other instances, a student understands a concept but finds it difficult to apply it to questions and needs more practice or examples to apply the concept. It is also important for me to adapt as each student will have a different learning style, understanding and ability. A tutor's enthusiasm, praise and patience is also crucial for student success.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing I can do as a tutor is to support a student so they can reach their full academic potential. My role as a tutor is to give students individualized attention, and assist them in their weak areas whilst also helping them polish their strengths. As well as assisting students with understanding concepts it is also important to make learning fun and enjoyable so that the student enjoys the process of learning.
