What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The ability to share the joy of learning in a focused manner. Everyone is constantly learning, and I feel lucky to be able to help a student do their best in the field they'd like to learn. Seeing the progress they make through their hard work is also incredibly satisfying to me.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I have strong verbal communication and feel comfortable explaining abstract/complicated concepts to students. Additionally, I can tell when a student is not understanding something, and know how to find where their misunderstanding comes from by asking questions and asking for their own explanation of the concept.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is inspire them. It is one thing to teach them the material, and to teach them how to learn, but what makes tutoring so valuable is the ability for the tutor to show where a student's learning can take them. The ability to really hone in on what the student is passionate about and find ways to implement that into the sessions. Knowing how to learn is all well and good, but really knowing why you learn is what takes you beyond VCE.
