My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor, I am willing to persevere and overcome any obstacle in order to make sure my students understand what I am teaching. In addition, my advance communication skills help me to relate to students and understand their struggles in learning. Also, I am an encourager. I will not give up on my students and I will keep encouraging them till they succeed. Having said that, I do have certain weaknesses. I lack the ability to criticise students when it is necessary. If a student is lazy in his learning, I tend to avoid criticizing his laziness. This is something I want to improve as a tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to enable the student himself to be an independent learner. I want to teach my students the correct approach to learning a certain subject so that eventually they can understand the subject without my support. For example, I will teach my students the main techniques in learning Maths so that they can fully understand Maths and eventually use this knowledge in their tertiary education. As a tutor, I want to make sure my students know exactly what I am teaching so that they can become teachers to others in the future.
