What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy making a difference, I find it very fulfilling to help progress a students learning and see them actually enjoy their learning because they avoiding troubles and at times ahead of their curriculum work. I also enjoy the opportunity to work in a school environment with kids I studied teaching briefly after graduating and did enjoy it however, my passion is to become a Physiotherapist although tutoring allows me to enjoy my work and be excited about it rather than having a casual job I'm not interested in and not motivated for.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths are that I am a diverse communicator, I am able to simplify my communication to tutor a younger student or be more professional towards an older student. Having studied teaching it is easily accessible for me to know the curriculum of the students year level and what they need to work on as well as preparing them for future concepts that are more difficult and getting a head start on those concepts. I'm also always ensuring the student is developing and not stuck in a learning plateau and if they are developing strategies to move on from that plateau.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider the most important things a tutor can do for a student is be patient, a student is going to learn something and understand it in a few minutes, it'll take time to understand a concept and some students may take longer than others, as a tutor we need to be patient and ensure they have a strong understanding of a concept before moving on too quickly. I also think its pertinent to always give students positive feedback and positive reinforcement on areas to improve in a student isn't going to be excited about extra school work but feedback might change that.Tutoring students in 👦 👧
