What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy the fact that I am able to give knowledge to the students, help them where they are facing difficulties so that they can learn more and generally seeing the improvement in the students from the beginning.
I also, find it beneficial for myself, since I am able to use my teaching techniques to myself as well.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As a tutor, I believe I listen to the student's concerns and questions first instead of pouring all the content onto them.
I am patient with the students and give them enough time to grasp the concept before moving on but in doing so I also create time limits so we aren't going too slow and using our time efficiently.
Another strength I would say through my experience as a tutor for 2 years with a tutoring organisation I have come across many students of different abilities and difficulty levels, and so I have an idea of how to teach a certain student based on their abilities.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important things apart from the strengths as mentioned before, believe is making sure the tutor is calm, composed and understanding when teaching the student needs to maintain an authoritative but also friendly relationship with the student, in order for the student to feel comfortable enough to ask the tutor questions.
The tutor should also manage their teaching methods to better suit the students' requirements, for example, using more examples or practising more questions.
Another thing the tutor can do is keep the student engaged and motivated instead of boring them.
