What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to teach in a one-on-one situation and the students. I can focus my attention on my willing students, and help them achieve their goals. I enjoy building a student's confidence, and sharing the joy that comes with improvement. I love interacting with them, I love learning from them, I love helping them understand the content of any course and I love when they see the connection between what they are learning and their lives.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Most importantly, I have been a student myself so I know how the students think and I connect with them. My key strengths include ability to solve conflicts, emotional intelligence, creativity and enthusiasm for teaching. I have the ability to explain difficult things in a simple way and to connect with children (or with older students), on a personal level. I appreciate students as individuals. I am used to tailoring resources for individual needs. I am good at explaining concepts and I have a wide curriculum knowledge. I can also assess the students work.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
According to me, the tutor needs to be honest to establish rapport and trust. Be willing to adjust techniques to meet the students needs. Be patient and a good listener to understand how the student feels. Be willing to share his/her own experiences as a student helps the students feel relived and this helps in building self confidence and trust. Be confident and teach the student how to become an independent learner. Be able to use the available resources and let them know you are there as their friend and not as an instructor. To conclude be professional.
