What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have a very big passion for Mathematics and English, hence, I'd love to share my knowledge to others. I enjoy helping others and making sure that they understand the context. To me, the best thing about tutoring is seeing your students understand the material given; when you've influenced them to having more confidence in themselves and when you see them achieve their end goal.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a very patient and easy-going person, this will be beneficial when I'm around students, as it'll make them feel more comfortable to ask me more questions. I also love being around kids and from hanging around with my brother and my younger cousins, I can easily engage with them. Hence, I'll be able to form an emotional connection with them and understand them at a personal level.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing about being a tutor is having commitment for their students, which means having enthusiasm for teaching as this will influence their students to be more engaged with their studies. As tutors are role-models for their student, hence, everything a tutor does will matter. Furthermore, tutors should be patient and have high perseverance when teaching, as every student have different ways of understanding the subject. Hence, tutors should be able to explain hard concepts in simpler ways and highly ensure that the student understand the concept in the end.

Tiahna was able to grasp most of the content covered this lesson, she was able to demonstrate understanding by giving the questions and clarifying her methods to me straight after. This helped in strengthening her understanding as some of the things I picked up was when asked to draw x = 2, she drew the line on y-axis, which is when y = 2, even though she had the right idea, it was incorrect.
- remember the gradient formula - remember the generic form of a linear equation which is y = mx+b - remember the theory behind intersecting lines
