What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is being able to see improvements in a students ability. It is a great feeling of accomplishment being able to see a student finally understand a concept which they previously had struggled with. Whilst tutoring a younger relative, he struggled with the concept of long division. I gave him a few questions to practice along and I made a rhythm saying "divide, multiply, subtract, bring it down". The following lesson, I tested him and he got every question right. The joy felt from him finally grasping the concept is the most enjoyable part of tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths would include the ability to understand where students struggle to understand concepts, not only through their work but also based on their facial expressions. Many students tend to be afraid to ask questions and it is vital to be able to read their facial expressions to see when they are confused to then provide further assistance.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things aside from assisting the student is to be a mentor to them. Being able to provide support and advice to improve on their study routine, increase their efficiency gives motivation, which is essential for improvement.
