What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Raised from a non-english speaking family, I was always the one my family had relied on with many things such as adapting to the new guidelines for this Covid-19 pandemic, or looking at notices displayed on the news. I have always had this helping nature within me, I love helping them and passing on my knowledge. I know maths can be challenging and a subject not many enjoy, however I like to watch their faces change from confused to excited when they think of maths. Because same with me, once I understood maths it became addicting.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I believe my strengths as a tutor is my interpersonal and communicative skills, being able to understand the students as well as communicate and cooperate with them is what I believe is the most important as a tutor and what I believe I excel at. As a student who just graduated I had spent my past 12 years in schooling and involved in many team projects, I believe I am most suited for this job due to my interpersonal and communication skills.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student can vary, depending on the student. For e.g I had a friend who's outlook on maths was very negative, he had despised it his whole life and every time we'd have maths h would just have a frown upon his face and his mood would change. I assumed this was because he had never really understood maths, thus I helped him grasp concepts and helped him and this negativity soon turned into a passion. I believe the most important things a tutor can do is to teach, however not make it boring, so the student loves and enjoys the process
