What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to watch students achieve their best and enjoy being given with the opportunity to assist students learn and grow as individuals. I love being able to build one’s confidence in their studies in which they may have felt uncomfortable with in the past. I enjoy being able to interact with others and help them achieve their goals.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe one of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my attribute of being patient with others, especially with children. I also believe I have a strong sense of compassion and care for others which I think is an important element when teaching and supporting others. Similarly, I believe I am a hardworking, trustworthy and respectful person who is willing to support my students to the best of my abilities, in order to create a positive impact on their life. I think trustworthiness is an important quality in order to build trust between a mentor and student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the role of a tutor is to help build a student’s confidence by being willing to share their own experiences in order to show them they are not alone. I also think having patience and being flexible is essential for a mentor to have, to understand that teaching and mentoring can require a long time and should accept that everyone is different and everyone learns in different ways. Ultimately however, I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is to teach a student to become an independent learner, teaching them skills that would not only be used academically, but also in life.
