The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be patient and understanding with them, as what is obvious or easy for you may not be so for your student. Learn not to show annoyance in your speech or body language as it can demotivate the students and make them perform even worse. A tutor must collaborate with the student, as the tutor-student relationship works best as a partnership.
