What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The students' satisfaction, which leads to my satisfaction. There is no better feeling than helping a student edit an assignment/walking them through a problem and seeing their face when they realise they've had that academic potential in them the whole time.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My dedication towards completing a task, close to perfection. I spend a lot of extra time outside of class to prepare lesson materials, e.g. writing sample assignment paragraphs for students to reference. This ensures efficiency during sessions, so I'm not wasting my student's precious time. I believe I'm quite motivating as well. I try to be uplifting and cheerful in every lesson because I understand that school can be stressful for some students, especially year 12 students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
To prepare for class and constantly check up on their progress. Students often need help outside of class, which lots of tutors do not provide. I am always accessible outside of class hours, ensuring students get help whenever they need it. Another important thing is to motivate the student. I always felt inspired to study after my sessions with my own tutor in high school, and I want to do the same for my students. I want to motivate them and encourage them to complete their assessments and to not be afraid of challenging themselves.
