What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I am a very approachable person, hence at school many of my friends would come to me to ask for help for almost any math or science related question. I really enjoyed sitting down and explaining the concepts to them as it both cemented my own knowledge and helped others understand it better. I really enjoyed sharing my tips and tricks to other students and I hope to do the same to future graduates.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think I am a very patient and approachable person which I believe are crucial when it comes to tutoring as it will allow the student to feel comfortable to ask questions. Throughout my schooling, I have collected many helpful notes and tips from my own tutors and teachers, especially for math as it is one of my favourite subjects, which I believe will help many other students. I believe my passion towards math will also help students see the fun and mysterious aspects of this subject which will in turn pique their interest towards maths.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think encouragement as well as pushing the student to reach their full potential is extremely important. As someone who was constantly pushed to work harder during Year 12 I can guarantee you, I would not have been able to achieve the results I did without the support of my teachers and tutors. I also think targeted teaching is very important - to recognise the students' strengths and weaknesses and to build upon their weaknesses.
