What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Seeing my students surprise themselves with how capable they actually are and seeing their self-confidence grow each time. I enjoy teaching and explaining ideas in a way which accommodates the individual student’s learning style and I think it’s fantastic when the students teach me things, too.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I’m very patient and encouraging and strongly believe in positive reinforcement and good self-talk to help students understand their strengths and to not compare themselves to others, to just practise good routines and learn which learning style suits them best. I’ve also worked as an assistant educator with autistic children and therefore have experience with children from neuro diverse backgrounds.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Positive encouragement is paramount and also encouraging the student to become more self-disciplined and to set their own schedules so they feel more empowered.
Providing regular progress reports for the student so they can see how well they’re doing is great, as is encouraging accountability and good reward systems for hard work.
