What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoy tutoring because I have a genuine wish to support my fellow students by enhancing and enriching their learning skills. I think there's a real reward when you see that students take to heart the lessons that they've learned, especially when it serves them well in life and not just in academics. I have a passion for learning, and being able to share it with others is something gratifying in itself.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I have strong interpersonal communication skills and I think that's important in fostering rapport. I'm flexible and can adapt to different learning styles, offering a tailor made learning environment that suits the student's individual needs. I ensure that students can thoroughly understand the topic, avoiding the common issue of 'rote learning.'

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Being able to provide support. Sometimes, a student just needs someone to talk to- and knowing that they've been through the same thing that they have, it empowers them and encourages them to make proactive decisions in their learning. I view the foundation of effective mentorship as one of trust, mutual respect, and goal driven progress that is measurable and achievable. To this end, I would encourage constructive yet positive discussion during our sessions.
