What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy connecting with a student to bring them to a place of understanding. I like to make the theory relatable and practical to a student. Above all, bringing someone to a position of confidence with their maths.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am currently studying for my master's of teaching with a focus on gender equality.
I have a good experience relating to students and being patient through the learning process. I have a broad range of interests and career experience I can draw on to make the learning more relatable. I have a solid understanding of the Australian curriculum and what it takes to fill past gaps in learning to encourage a confident student to progress
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
An ability to communicate a genuine passion for the subject.
Patience and being calm in the delivery of the content.
I think reassurance that there is often a feeling of uncertainty through the learning process and that this is perfectly ok and a sign that learning is happening.
Being structured in the delivery of the content so that there can be achievable expectations at the start, and to be able to reflect on these at the end of the learning session.
