What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I thoroughly enjoy one on one and small group teaching with students. This allows for both teacher and student led conversation which can further provide insight into specific areas that need attention in a students education. I enjoy building rapport with students and thus then being able to provide the best possible educative experience through better understanding how the students work best. I enjoy being able to further build upon my own learning about student behaviour and learning while simultaneously strengthening knowledge and skills within the student.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I understand my strengths as a tutor are in my background as a teacher. As I have the knowledge and training in teaching the relevant skills and content in my specific method areas, I also have a strong understanding of curriculums and unit guides and their importance in scaffolding a students' education. This allows me to be able to understand that my focus as an educator is teaching specific skills and content to students is important, but also teaching the student how the skills and content will be used in a wider capacity within their subject is equally as valuable.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider building confidence in a student highly important when tutoring. In my experience as a teacher, students often value one on one teaching where available. Being able to focus on one student and their needs within their own education, builds a more confident student whether in their work, or when seeking assistance from teachers.
