What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

I enjoy seeing the student progressively increase their confidence in their learning and love seeing a smile on their face. I am passionate about helping others and I believe that tutoring is a great way to do this. I am very enthusiastic about teaching others new things and believe that this is emulated through my teaching.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

As a tutor I am very hard-working and willing to put in my best efforts to learn new content and methods to teach information in a way that is fun and best suits the student's needs. I am very punctual with great time management and organizational skills, making me a very reliable contact. I have great flexibility as I have outstanding computer software, internet speeds and familiarity with Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate and other online programs for remote learning. I have access to a car if student's would rather be tutored in person. I am very patient and respectful also.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

A tutor must be able to go out of their way to answer questions and misunderstandings in a manner that incorporates the student's learning style, whether that is visual, kinaesthetic or written. It is important that a tutor offers a specific content expertise and measures student growth and progress. By personalizing the learning to the student and their strengths, minimizing weaker areas is much easier and less confronting for the student. However, what is most important is that tutors communicate and listen to the students, parents and perhaps even the teachers to suit their needs.
