In my opinion, a great teacher, mentor or tutor needs patience and a deep understanding of how each individual student learns. To be able to determine whether they're a visual, interactive or auditory learner and communicating the lesson in a way that they are able to fully absorb. Needless to say, students, especially those in their teenage years tend to struggle with their hormones and volatile emotions. The best a tutor can do is to never give up on a student and be understanding of their situation.
