What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

At my core, I enjoy helping out other students who struggle to understand and grasp basic concepts. I was once a struggling student and as such, I am fully aware of how easily a student's confidence can dwindle if the correct support is not offered. Being able to motivate students to believe in themselves again is the single most joyous act that I bring out as a tutor. Working with the student to set goals is one of the most rewarding elements of being a tutor, as this proves to not only assist the student with improving their marks but to also believe in their capabilities as a human being

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am highly organized. It is standard for me to run through a plan before each lesson that I have with my students prior to it occurring in order to ensure that the lesson runs more smoothly and that it remains productive throughout. As a tutor, I feel as though I am easy to talk to and am approachable. This is one of my key strengths, as this makes the student less nervous and more likely to open up the tutor when they inevitably face problems within their coursework. I am also very patient with students and understand that learning is a process that comes at different paces for everyone.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to believe in the student. Majority of students who struggle with their work likely have very few to little supporters who truly believe in their talents. I know this because I felt the same way when I was a struggling high school student. Change never truly came to me until I met tutors who fully believed in me and supported my dreams to study engineering. It is for this reason that tutors must fully believe in and commit to their student's growth and success.
