What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
There are often things that you find out that you wish you would have known early. And so I hope that I could teach those things that I wish I knew so that students have a more streamlined process and reduce unnecessary difficulties.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I’m psychologically minded and I’ve kept a running weekly diary for 3 years which includes details about how I’ve made efforts to improve studying, what led to productivity or unproductivity, notes about motivation. I believe that talking to students I’m able to come from a position of experience and I would be comfortable sharing and communicating my failure and success.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
My mindset when it comes to learning isn’t about knowing facts, it’s about knowing the facts about how you come to know the facts. I don’t want students to come out of tutoring with just knowledge about HSC subjects, the focus should always be on skills that will carry on into the future.
To a certain extent your role as a tutor is to teach them to be independent of a tutor. They should learn to be confident enough to study by themselves, so that they're not always reliant and can do good work outside tutoring.
