What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
What I enjoy most about tutoring is watching the student grow and get more confident in themselves and their studies. I gain a lot of satisfaction from seeing someone's academic grades rise, alongside their pride and happiness.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I believe my biggest strength as a tutor is that I typically learn by understanding why or how something works, instead of just memorizing the content.
This means I am able to offer a student multiple approaches and explanations to a certain concept, and offers me the ability to adapt to the students learning style, instead of trying to force them to adapt to my teaching style.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think there are two main things a tutor can do for a student; maintain high grades and garner a positive attitude.
It is imperative as a tutor's job to help the student maintain or achieve high grades in the particular area of study. However, high academic standards are not simply enough. It is also important for a tutor to build up an encouraging and positive environment for the student, so they learn to gain confidence within themselves and trust their own abilities, without constantly looking for validation.
