What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Knowing a new concept and understanding the logic behind it has always given me an amazing and satisfying sensation. Therefore, the one thing I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students improving their knowledge and skills and seeing them taking upon greater challenges. Throughout the 2.5 years of tutoring Mathematics and Physics seeing my students gradually improve their scores seemed to make them happier when solving problems in those subjects. Being able to provide the support that they desired and seeing students excel in a subject is always gives me a satisfying sensation.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
One strength is that I can explain complex ideas in a simplified manner. I believe that I can do this since I spend many hours thinking about a specific concept or theorem until I fully understand it. Another quality is that I am extremely dedicated to something once I start with it. I will dedicate as much time and energy into ensuring that my students understand the concept and ideas behind the question or theory in concern. I will explore different methods of explaining a concept if one does not work and will reflect on negative outcomes if any are seen.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to not teach them how to answer a specific question but to ensure they understand the logic behind the answering methodology. I suspect that this may be hard for some students at first but I am confident that they will be able to get the most out of mathematics and other subjects from this kind of learning technique. Speaking from experience, I believe that this will make the subject more fun to them since the learning and answering process will be less monotonic, which should be less stressful and less boring.
