What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe that the most enjoyable part about being a tutor is the journey we are taken along on with each individual student. Being able to help students grow and succeed in subjects they desire is an extremely gratifying experience. Having experienced firsthand the immense benifits of tutoring from my past mentors and tutors, I also wish to offer aspiring students guidance and an overall good experience on their path to success.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Being a recent graduate myself, I have vivid experiences of the challenges that the students may experience in the future; thus helping me to offer guidance of a more efficient and appropriate approach. Often, it is the mental burden of an imminent test or a lack of self-confidence which prevents a students success; as a tutor I ensure a realistic yet encouraging approach to lead them closer to their goals. Having knowledge from various levels of studies, I am confident in adapting to different students and concisely explaining new concepts using examples or analogies they already understand.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to help them understand topics to a point where they are able to form their own ideas, connect it to past topics and question about it; a sort of intuition. From an exam standpoint, it is more valuable to be able to link a multitude of topics together, as the more challenging questions are those which test a student's entire repertoire of knowledge; not just a singular topic. Similarly, the encouragement, reassurance and mental guidance a tutor should bring to students is also invaluable, as a stable mindset is key to any success
