What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy the moments when you can tell that something has "clicked" for the student and they understand a concept that they had previously been struggling to grasp.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I have good communication skills, and pride myself on being able to break down complex concepts or scenarios into concise, manageable portions.
I am patient and a good listener. I understand that no two students' needs are the same, regardless of if they are studying the same material.
I am used to working unpredictable hours and can be flexible with my schedule.
Most important things I can do for a student π
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to identify and pursue the avenue of learning which works best for them. For example, whether the student learns best by visualising a problem, or through hands on experience.
It is also important to make the material interesting for the student, present the material in a variety of ways and even relate it to the student's life. Keeping them motivated makes the process more rewarding for both participants.
Finally, it is important to praise the student. Provide positive reinforcement and help them focus on their successes.
