What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to help others through my passion for maths. I enjoy face to face interactions with students and being able to show them how important and amazing maths can be.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I think my main strengths as a tutor is patience and communication. Patience to learn about and excel the student's strengths, but more importantly to find their weaknesses by listening to their questions/concerns. Communication refers to not only my ability to make breakdown tricky concepts and make them more understandable but also being approachable and easy to talk to.
Most important things I can do for a student π
For me, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is make them feel comfortable. The best way to learn is by asking questions. As a student who use to be tutored, I realised that there really is no such thing as a silly question. However, some students may find it embarrassing or difficult to ask questions. The most important thing is for a tutor to build a relationship with their students and overcome these barriers, encourage them to question everything they find confusing or don't fully understand.
