What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The greatest enjoyment and satisfaction I receive from tutoring is the process of changing confusion into understanding, the moment of realisation, that is what I enjoy. I remember the struggles of understanding new and complex topics, and the enjoyment of grappling with them, and if I am able to assist in the understanding of those topics then I'm happy.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Having graduated in 2019, I have a comprehensive and recent understanding of the curriculum and its expectations. I am entirely adaptable to the student, since there is no pre-determined formula, my approach depends on the student’s need and the particular difficulties that he or she experiences. I am able to effectively communicate to the student, my involvement and presence offers support for a student in trouble and will make the student feel valued. My ability to communicate with the parents is essential since it provides insight to your expectations, but more importantly insight to the characteristics and strengths of your child.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for the student is to listen to their confusion, break down the problem and then explain and educate them methodically and appropriately to their style of learning. A tutor is not there to do the work for the student, it is a team effort wherein the tutor imparts understanding to the student so they can approach similar problems with confidence in their abilities. It is this confidence and motivation that a tutor imparts which is essential to the student's success going forwards, it allows them to work independently and to achieve greatly.

Testimonials 🏆

Will is great and felix looks forward to his sessions
Mark, Chapel Hill
Will is maths tutoring both of my children (age 11 and 13) by video conference (Zoom) during the Covid 19 outbreak. This is working just as well as when we had Will sitting next to us and he is doing a wonderful job in increasing both of my children's confidence in maths. With them being at home full time now, they are really benefiting from this weekly one on one tutoring. I would highly recommend Will as a maths tutor.
