What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy tutoring because as a former high school myself, I once shared the hardship of working hard, fighting for the goal of better grades. Personally, I received a substantial amount of help from alumnus of my high school. I believe been tutored by them enlightened my pursuit to become a stronger academic student. Like my Alumni tutors, I wish to help the currents students succeed in their studies. I enjoy the sense of fulfilment when I help others with their homework, assignments' and exam preparations. I look forward to bring my skills to help more students achieve higher results.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe through my personally experience as a student and a tutor, I am able to deliver a high retention tutoring program. I believe an effective 1 hr tutoring session should consist of 3 parts: Warm up (recap of last lesson content) 15min, New content 30 min (learning new content), Questions 15 min (retaining) new content. This method effectively rehearses the same content twice over a 1 week period (assuming weekly session).

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important tutor attribute is persistence. To be persistent in helping your student, to be passionate about helping your student, and are willing to go beyond lesson times to help the student achieve the best results. It is also essential for the tutor to have the knowledge sets to teach the student, a tutor must deliver the right information to the student and learn it if he or she are not confident. In addition, the tutor must also posses soft skills such as effective communication, time management and organisation to be able to plan ahead,
