What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I like to think about ideas and concepts all the time and talk and teach people about what I know. I find it really rewarding to have a conversation with someone and build it to something such that where you end up is further along than where you started. I know that when someone has taught me something and the wheels clicked and I wrapped my brain around something - it can be the best feeling. Because others have done this for me I want to help students get to the same place.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am incredibly patient and empathetic to others and their situation. I can communicate well and make sure I'm pushing them just enough but no such that they are not enjoying the learning process. I possess a genuine enthusiasm for learning and teaching - when I engage with someone this tends to shine through and they are likely to enjoy the process more. I love talking about maths, science, and business to anyone, but having a relationship with someone who is currently going through something similar that I went through, and I can reflect and give them the best techniques for achieving.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think that the most important things a tutor can do for a student are these two things: Firstly teaching them what they need to learn (the subject you're tutoring), but more importantly, teaching them the skills of how to be confident and go find out what they need to learn and teach themselves. It is overall, teaching them the skills of how to be a successful student, the habits and strategies of what makes for a successful education and passing on the passion and motivation to continue their studies.
