What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the challenge of coming up with different ways to teach a concept to a child, and how different children connect to different concepts in different ways. I always love being creative in the way that I teach and trying to put concepts in interesting, relatable ways to children.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think I am a very patient, creative and sincere tutor. I am patient to explain a concept in many, different ways till the child understands, and I am very creative when it comes to explaining concepts. I am also very sincere and would never give a half-hearted attempt. I would give my best to every child.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to teach the student how to approach problems and questions on their own, such that they are not dependent on anyone when they encounter a difficult problem in the future. For example, to teach them how to look at a problem in many different ways, to reverse the problem and work backwards, and other strategies.

We did a good summary of all the organic reactions in Module 7 and attempted a few questions together. We made the main focus of our lesson trying questions together, which helped consolidate her understanding, especially for Biology.
Max is a very bright student and she has a good grasp on the concepts. With consistent revision and practise, she will be able to do well. She should also make sure she knows what specific buzzwords/terms examiners are looking for in the exam answers so she can maximise her score.

Vivaan's improvement was evident today, with him being able to approach word problems much better and form equations mostly on his own with some prompting. His algebra has also gotten stronger, which I am very pleased about!
Vivaan needs to focus on revising for the test over the next 2 days and make sure he covers all the ground before the test.
We managed to cover a few different questions and there was a good retention of the knowledge from the last lesson on Vivaan's behalf!

As usual, we need to work on Vivaan's confidence and keep making him practise different techniques and solving questions on his own.

Hannah remembers most of the concepts and is able to apply them to solve all the questions well. Apart from minor prompts, she is mostly able to solve the questions on her own, which is great.
Sometimes she just needs a little nudge to remember the right technique or to spot a trick in the question, which she should be able to identify on her own with more practise.
