What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is not merely seeing the transferring of knowledge from myself to another student, but igniting a fire of love for learning and the subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. There is something distinctly enjoyable about these academic pursuits and being engaged in this learning, and transferring this passion onto someone else is perhaps the most pleasing part of being a tutor. Indeed, seeing your student finally grasp a difficult concept after a few weeks is somewhat euphoric for both the student and the tutor!

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths would firstly include strong communication skills which would allow me to concisely and effectively teach course material in easily comprehensible terms for students of varying academic abilities. Additionally, I believe I have a great problem-solving mind and deductive reasoning which would prove useful in teaching efficient exam and assessment techniques to students. Also, quite importantly, I am very patient, which is a vital trait to possess as a tutor. Finally, although it seems 'cheesy', I truly care about what it is that I am doing as a tutor and the importance it holds.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to ignite a passion and 'vision' for learning. Our current society tends to view academia as a means to an end as opposed to an ends in itself, and if a tutor awakens a love for the subject in his student, then they have succeeded. By doing so, the student becomes more engaged and receptive to the content being presented and would be more likely to enjoy the course material which would naturally lead to success.
