What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy finding students areas of fun and interests to then incorporate them into their learning. Kid's learn the best when it interests their own mind set, and not in a generic way. Because each student is different, I enjoy the happiness that little bit of extra effort brings from being the teacher.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am strong with behaviour management and relating to children/teens. Having communication is essential in my classroom/learning environment so I always ensure my strengths are used to make students feel comfortable and open to learning.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Inspire. Not every child enjoys learning the way we need to in society so a teachers and tutors, we need to be able to be creative enough for those individual students who need more guidance. For example I have had a year 3 student who hated english and nearly every subject at school, however he really enjoyed robots. As we were learning narrative in english and area in maths, I challenged him to create a robot on grid paper and calculate the area of the whole robot, name it, and then create a story book for it. Without him realising, he had completed both learning strands for the term.
