What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping others. Nothing feels more rewarding than teaching a child something and seeing them implement it. Where it be as simple as teaching a toddler a single word such as "toes" or helping a fellow classmate understand a concept from lecture, it just feels amazing. Another motivation for tutoring through university is the best way to learn something is to teach it. Helping out my fellow classmates not only benefitted them come time of the test, but myself as well. All together tutoring is the best experience to learn and grow yourself as well as helping others.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have a long history working in childcare and education. My career pursuits in childcare have given me a deep understanding of how each child is unique and requires different care and help. I've leant that purposefully creating an inclusive environment, where everyone is valued and supported allows children to perform to the best of their ability.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As a tutor I believe the key actions we can do are supporting the child, giving encouragement, and ensuring the child's safety. Sometimes children need the reassurance that it's ok to fail and with hard work and practice we can help them improve with any subject. Children can get easily frustrated or upset with challenging academic material but if we can break it down, help them through it all to get success it can greatly increase their confidence and intern performance for next time.
