What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As a student, what I enjoyed the most was the feeling of "understanding" that I achieved after solving a mathematical problem or studying a complex biological process. Now as a tutor, I truly enjoy seeing my students getting that same satisfaction. Feeling that I can now use all that I learnt during my student years to help other students progress in their academic lives is really fantastic.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very good at connecting with students and identifying their specific needs. I am extremely organised and very patient, and I understand the importance of taking a break when the brain is saturated with information. I believe in positive feedback as the best approach to students who struggle with a particular subject or topic, and I often add a challenging component to the study plan, as this can motivate students to accomplish their goals.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Helping students understand that they are capable of overcoming their difficulties with the subject. Helping them to identify what they need to improve in order to perform better. Teaching them that their efforts are worth it and that they can achieve their goals if they work hard. Many students give up before trying, so I think this is the first thing that needs to be addressed.
